It’s almost become a tradition. Every time I come back to Belgium, I try to do some urban exploration with my friend.
This time was no different. We explored the Bloso-domein Hofstade Zwembad. The swimming pool was built in 1939 and is 100m in length and 50m in width. It was closed for good in 1978. Given that it’s been exactly 40 years this years, I’d say it’s rather well preserved. Nothing crazy though.
I think the coolest fact off all is that my mom used to go swim there with her family in the 1960s when she wasn’t even 10 years old. She just told me she lost a golden bracelet while swimming. It’s probably still at the bottom. We will never know.
Great explore!
Thanks! It was a great time!
