I know this doesn’t sound like a fancy title, but trust me… the place is pretty special.
I have been servicing United for the past three and a half years and I have to say, seeing planes all day isn’t exactly the worst thing in the world. United’s maintenance base at SFO is the largest commercial maintenance base in North America. Pretty cool stuff!
I took the following photos around the time that United decided to phase out the Queen of the Skies, aka Boeing’s 747. You will get to see a few photos of their brand-new 777, aka the replacement. The 777 can hold almost as many passengers as the 747 and runs only two engines, making it much more affordable to maintain and operate.
And thank you John for the VIP tour!
