It’s actually kind of a surreal experience. I drove into Big Bend NP from the eastern side and made my way to some pretty nice views of the Rio Grande before coming back out through the western side of the park.

I find this so ironic. This National Recreation Area is called Amistad (friendship in Spanish). It’s located right at the border with Mexico in Southern Texas.
