Eastern Colorado: Bent’s Old Fort

As you might expect, there is really not much going on in Eastern Colorado, but you also know I sort of obsess over National Park Service spots… so a visit was in order.

I took a day trip to see Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site and a couple other locations that I will feature in a later post. I don’t want to bore you with all the historical details, but the fort is a reconstructed adobe used as a fur trading post in the mid-1800s. You can read all about it by clicking the link above.
