Rocky Mountain National Park day trip

I’m glad we were able to squeeze in and visit the Rocky Mountain National Park before the winter closure.

I think they close the park sometime in October and reopen sometime in May. I’m not sure if the mandatory reservations are because of Covid or if it’s always that way. In any event, we went there last weekend. It’s truly beautiful, but I’d like to go back and do a couple hikes like Emerald Lake.

We got to see the tundra, hike to the top of Alpine Ridge (so cold and windy!), spotted a few glaciers and saw some deer. Not a bad trip! We finished off the trip with a quick stop in Estes Park, CO (separate post).

Comments? They are much appreciated! ;)
