Paint Mines: nature paints better than me

Well. That’s not exactly hard, but that place is absolutely fabulous!

Paint Mines Interpretative Park is located about 40 minutes east of Colorado Springs. You’ll probably hike more than you originally set out to because you start meandering through the mines without even noticing.

From their website: “The paint mines have evidence of human life as far back as 9,000 years ago. The park features fantastic geological formations including spires and hoodoos that form through erosive action that creates incised gullies and exposed layers of selenite clay and jasper.

Comments? They are much appreciated! ;)
