A Drumming Katydid?

Raise your hand if you know this is something different!

Based own the location I believe this is a Meconema Thalassium, aka a Drumming Katydid. I spotted this guy in Waterloo, Belgium last September (yeah I know I’m a little behind on the postings. Ha!), and it seems I identified this right. However, the Meconema Meridionale looks very similar (not sure what the exact differences are and couldn’t find anything on Google), but they seem to live in more southern parts of the globe. What do you guys think?
