Yellowstone: Norris Geyser Basin

Another post another geyser another pretty color. Are you bored yet?

I’m not! I could have stayed there for a lot longer, staring at those crazy tones of blue, orange, etc. This time I’m taking you to Norris Geyser Basin, which is home to the famous Steamboat Geyser and the lesser-known Emerald Spring.

Steamboat Geyser used to erupt much less frequently, but it seems it likes to do its thing more often nowadays. Scientists are not really sure why and would like to find out. The geyser is the world’s tallest (300ft+) and also way more powerful than Old Faithful. It actually erupted the day after we were there! We still got to see the crazy amount of steam though. You can’t miss it. The parking lot is quite far from the geyser, yet your car is covered in water + some other stuff. Oh and also, it makes some crazy noise!

Comments? They are much appreciated! ;)
