Backyard fun: Muir Woods NM

Sometimes the best things are right in your backyard.

Well, and sometimes they are hundreds and thousands of miles away. The point is you should also explore the places that are right by you. Stop postponing it! One day, you’ll move and realize that you never took the time time to visit your own backyard.

It happened a lot to me when I moved from San Francisco back down to the South Bay. Fortunately, Muir Wood National Monument was not one of those places (and I really don’t live far anyway). A true gem. Classic redwood trees. A great day of hiking.
