Kings Canyon National Park

I think this may be my favorite of the two sister parks. Is that wrong to say?

Kings Canyon National Park is located right next to Sequoia. However, one major difference is that the majority of Kings Canyon is not accessible by car and the park is sort of divided into two parts by the Giant Sequoia National Forest. I would definitely want to return and get a permit to visit the back country, which constitutes the majority of the park and looks pretty amazing given the photos I’ve seen. The National Forest is just as pretty and I’m not sure what happened there and why it’s not part of the national park -especially because Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks are the second oldest parks in the country after Yellowstone. Oh well. Amazing place. Really.

On a photographic note, I tried taking some daylight long exposures by the waterfall and the river. Pretty cool stuff.
