This must be what paradise looks like.
The trail was pretty muddy and slippery from all the rain that came down in the previous couple of days, but the scenery is out of this world. Actually, I’d say that it’s out a travel magazine. You know those pictures of places you think you’ll never be able to go to… well, that’s it, right there.
The Kalalau trail goes right along the Na Pali Coast, which ism really the only way to actually visit that part of the island since the road stops at the parking lot where the trail starts. The trail was worth ever slip and climb. It’s majestic!
The trail is quite long and goes on for about 11 miles, and needless to say, we didn’t hike the whole thing. We got across the Hanakapi’ai Stream and the beach and made our way back after that.
Gorgeous pics!! I loved that walk and like you only walked past the beach and then headed back….such a beautiful place!
I kind of wish I had kept going but we had to head back because we had an ATV tout lined up.
