Bodie: a town preserved in a state of arrested decay

A few weeks ago I went to Bodie, CA, a gold-mine ghost town  near Mono Lake and the Nevada border.

I have to say it wasn’t the most thrilling experience, but I’d always wanted to go so we went. I don’t regret it. I just wish you didn’t have to take a tour to see the mining facility.

I still managed to get a few shots that aren’t half bad (I think). Take a look and see for yourself. If you are considering visiting Bodie, Winter is pretty but inaccessible because they don’t plow the road.
