Renga Arts: reclaimed, re-purposed

On our way to eat the best apple pie in the world at Mom’s Apple Pie, we encountered this little store surrounded by weird-looking sculptures made out of re-purposed objects in Sebastopol in Sonoma County (Not Marin – And they insist! Haha.)

It seemed like the store was going out of business, but I’m glad I had the chance to see it before it closes its doors for good.

Renga Arts (their Facebook) sells a bunch of items made out of reclaimed materials and displays scupltures around their building. It’s different and interesting. I guess the one I liked best was the whole setup with the Lucky supermarket sign that you’ll see below.
