Actually, I don’t know whether they are edible or not. I’m no mushroom expert, so I’ll just guess we better all stay away from them. If you happen to know what these are, please feel free to jump in!
My girlfriend pointed those little creatures out to me the other day. They are growing by a tree right in front of my house. I live in a pretty humid neighborhood, so I’m guessing that must be the reason why we have a variety of mushrooms growing around.
I was hiking around Mt. Rainier and we saw the coolest Mushroom it was Purple the whole thing stock and all a velvet purple mushroom. I wish my point and shoot could have captured it better.
I would have loved to see that. That sounds really cool. And I also would love to hike up there! 😉
It was the only one we saw like it, on the entire 9 day trip. I’ll put it in my pre Manual Mode photos on my blog site.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Great shots! Would love to know what you think of mine in the Ardenne…

Thanks! (I left a comment on yours) 😉
Thank you, some great work on your site, thanks for visiting mine! Andy
Fantastic images – I know how difficult they are to capture
Thank you! They weren’t pretty to begin with so yeah. Kinda hard. Thanks for dropping by! 🙂
Great shots, and advice to not eat wild mushrooms unless you know that they’re safe! 🙂
(And I did say to stay away from them…)
Yes! Yes, I was trying to thank you for that good advice too. Great advice you gave too! 😀
I think people know that kind of stuff but it’s always good to put a reminder. You never know. 😉
