Villers Abbey: open-air archeology

I hesitated a lot before making up my mind. I wasn’t sure whether black & white or color would do justice to the site best. I ended up picking B&W, but I’m still not sure of the result.

The abbey is really nice. There is room for great shadow photography, as well as reflection. The curves and lines allow for superb symmetry. I tried to capture it, but I’m not totally happy with what I came back with. Oh well… I guess it’s not too far from my place in case I decide to give it another try.

You can read about the abbey right here.
